General Info

Hello! I am pleased to announce that t-shirts and sweaters are now available for purchase. As many of you may know the line for t-shirts and hoods can get very long at the state event. You can now skip the line and get your t-shirts ahead of time. Fine Designs - Official Event Apparel . Please share this email with your friends, family, and classrooms so that t-shirts can be ordered ahead of time. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Welcome to the Oregon VRC Regional Championship!

The regional championship will consist of 3 separate divisions.

Platinum division- For teams that have qualified at a previous event. This event will be the team's chance to earn a ticket to the world championship. 64 teams will compete in this event

Gold division- Open all teams and will be hosted side by side to Platinum giving all teams a change to experience a regional level competition.

Middle School Division- For teams that have qualified at a previous event. This division will be the team's chance to earn a ticket to the world championship. 32 teams will compete in this event

The event will be hosted in the Pavilion at the Oregon state fairgrounds in Salem. Family and friends are invited to attend; there are NO entrance fees spectators. 

After passing inspection teams will participate in Qualifying Rounds, Alliance Selection and Elimination Rounds.  There will also be a field open for Skills Challenge runs.  Teams will be limited to three Driving and three Programming Skills Challenge runs.

Concession stands will be open during the event

Judging Format: Initial engineering notebooks will be judged online while In-Person interviews will take place at the event

West Salem High School's Robotics club will be hosting this year's State championship and it is going to be the largest event in Oregon VEX history. We need your help. Volunteer

Contact Zachary Link ([email protected]) if you are interested in helping volunteers.  We can use referees, judges, field resetters, coordinators, and fields.  If you are interested in refereeing please complete the VEX Referee Certification once it is online. Teams that bring volunteers can have a portion or all of their registration fee waved.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If bad weather is to occur, use your own discretion on attending the event.  If the event is cancelled and we are not able to reschedule the event we will refund your tournament fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
