The competition will be held in the cafeteria.  Parking will be in the back of Steinbrenner HS. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call me. 

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

  • 9:15 - 11:00 Skills Field Opens
  • 11:00 – Qualifying Matches Begin
  • 12:15 - Lunch Break
  • 1:00 – Qualifying Matches Resume
  • 3:30 – Qualifying Matches End
  • 3:45 - 4:00 – Alliance Selection
  • 4:00 - 5:00 – Elimination Rounds
  • 5:00 - 5:10 – Closing Ceremonies

Volunteer

We are so thankful for our JROTC and additional school staff that will help us as volunteers for this event. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather we will follow up as needed. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Teams will be refunded minus 5.00 fee that REC recieves for processing fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

The team will not be refunded.

Health and Safety Policies

Due to covid-19, all CDC, Hillsborough County School District and VEX/Robotevents policies will be adhered to.  Follow social distancing, wear a mask, wash hands as much as possible.  Hand sanitation will be accessible.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is January 10th, by 11:59pm.
