General Info

We invite your teams to participate in the Placer Robotics/Cavitt Cowboys Over Under for Middle School teams, held at Cavitt Jr High School in Granite Bay, CA

High school teams are invited to the November 4th tournament on Saturday. 

 

All events will receive state championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. The awards slots will be allocated by RECF later in the season.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

We always appreciate volunteers and are in need for volunteers on:

- Friday evening for setup

- Sunday evening for teardown

- Event day volunteers (Sat / Sun)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event.

In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. 

Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date, and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted a PO 3 weeks prior to the event will be moved to the waitlist unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.

Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable

If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams. 

No refunds if the event is not cancelled

Health and Safety Policies

Based on local health and/or venue requirements, the event organizer reserves the right to require safety precautions based on the pandemic conditions at the time of the event - including masking or other precautions. (Currently masking is not required)

 

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks are due November 1 at 5pm.
