General Info
All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices.

Welcome to the 6th annual VEX Robotics Event at Rochester Institute of Technology. The event is hosted by RIT's VEX U Robotics team.
We will have at least two competition fields, one skills field, and one practice field available. Skills will be open during qualification rounds and lunch (see agenda).
Each team will have a table, chairs, and power available to them. We will be using VEXText (optional) and scores will be live updated to the VEX Via app as well as robotevents.com.

Parking:
Cars and busses may drop off students, robots, and equipment in front of the RIT SAU in the Sentinel Sculpture Loop. Cars can park in D lot.
Parking is free on weekends at RIT. The closest parking lots to the MAGIC Center are Lots F and E.
Food:
Lunch will not be provided. There are dining options on RIT's campus (not many are open on Sundays - Link to RIT dining schedule/operation hours is linked below). There are many off-campus options to either pick up or have delivered to RIT.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
We will make all attempts to run the event, however, the event may be canceled if the university closes, travel conditions become too severe/dangerous, or other things outside of our control. We will be in touch with coaches if there are any travel concerns and will notify them of a decision as soon as we know.
There will be every attempt to postpone the event due to inclement weather to a new date before canceling the event completely.

Health and Safety Policies
RIT Youth Protection:
RIT's Youth Protection department requires forms to be signed by all minor's parents. This form has to be signed and brought to the event. This form will be sent out a month before the event. Do not submit it on RobotEvents, please bring the physical form to the event. In addition to this form, it is required that all advisors bring a list of all students and adults attending the event to the competition.
All RIT VEXU officers and members in attendance will have passed background checks. Minors will not be alone in a room with any adult who has not passed a background check.
Covid-19:
It is important to review RIT's safety policy regarding Covid-19. It is of utmost importance to keep everyone safe during this event. Any changes reflected on RIT's event safety page will be reflected here closer to the event. An email will be sent out sooner to the event regarding safety.
