General Info

Hotel rates for the Alabama State Championship have been posted and are located under the Documents Tab and the Travel Tab!

More information including up-to-date schedules and maps will be updated soon! 

SCORE is thrilled to host the Alabama VRC State Championship. We will release more information here as it becomes available.

  • Food - Concession stands will be available for teams. 

  • Team Check-In and Inspection - Teams are able to check in, go through inspection, and complete skills on Wednesday afternoon/evening, February 15th; however, all teams will be required to be checked into the event and have robots inspected by 9:00 am on Thursday, February 16th.  See agenda for more information.

  • Team Pit Area and Power - Each team will have a pit area.  Power will not be available in the pits; however, we will have charging stations in the pit area.

Health and Safety Policies

This event will follow the latest Health Policies provided by Auburn University in accordance with CDC and State of Alabama Guidelines.

As of now, all individuals are required to wear face coverings while inside Auburn University buildings.

To ensure the community remains healthy, everyone is encouraged to follow these guidelines:

  • Get vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. Stay in your room if you have symptoms or feel ill.
  • Wear a face covering when around others if you have not been fully vaccinated.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer should be used. Hand sanitizer stations can be found throughout all campus facilities.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
