Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event partners will make every attempt to announce the cancelation of the event due to adverse weather by 8am the day of the event.

Refund Policy

In the event is canceled by the event partners, a full refund of any funds received by the event partners will be issued to participating teams.  Please know that funds that go to the REC Foundation and are not received by the event partners are not refundable.

The event partners will make every attempt to honor refund requests if teams notify the event partners prior to 1/15/2022.  If a team can be replaced with someone from the waitlist, a refund will be issued.

Refunds cannot be issued to teams who fail to attend the event with no prior notification.

Health and Safety Policies

COVID Protocols for this event:

• Properly fitting masks will be required at all times when indoors, with the exception of when seated and eating. Mask breaks can be taken at an individuals discretion outdoors.
• Teams are asked to maintain 3' of distance between members at all times.
• Teams are asked to remain at their designated team table unless participating in a match or skills.  Team members can sit in the bleachers and view matches - please remain distanced at least 3' from others.
• Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer will be available at every team table, teams are encouraged to make use of them frequently.

Travel Info

The event will be held in the main gymnasium of Chittenango High School.  Enter through the Athletic Entrance to CHS, which is around the rear of the building.

A map will be emailed to advisors with more details.

There will be plenty of parking available for buses & other vehicles.

Webcast

The tournament will be streamed live on the BearDenVideo YouTube page.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Feel free to add or edit to suit your event. 

•  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
•  Engineering Notebook Submissions: Digital notebooks can be submitted in PDF format via email the day of the event, or bring a paper notebook to the event. Digital submission details will be provided at the event.
