1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist can be found here.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RobotEvents.com
4. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

5. Be sure to read 101 Things You Should Know Before Your First VEX Tournament.
6. Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.
7. Prep for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
8. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby as the venue is a very tight fit. Also, remember no grinding or other actions that create sparks.
9. Understand how the game will be played. VEX participants are more than welcome to watch the referee training videos before they attend a tournament.
10. Read through the Robot troubleshooting guide.

We will continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary

Judging for the Space City High School VRC tournament will take place remotely. Please use the link below to submit your engineering notebook.
Only finalists for the Design Award will be interviewed. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11/18 from 5:30-8pm. Teams to be interviewed will be contacted by 5pm Monday 11/16 with a specific time and a link for their interview. According to judging rules, an adult team mentor MUST be in any virtual meetings between students and judges. Teams without a mentor in the meeting will not be interviewed and disqualified from the Design Award.

The Robonauts Booster Club will be providing lunch pre-ordering for the VEX EDR Tournament on November 21, 2020. The tournament will be held at CCISD's Learning Support Center (old CLHS 9th Grade Center), 2903 Falcon Pass, Houston, TX 77062.
We ask that each team competing in the tournament who would like to pre-order, please fill out ONE group order. This year we will be offering personal 9 inch pizzas (cheese or pepperoni) or Chick-fil-a (sandwich or nuggets) both with chips and a drink.
Please decide your team order (one order per team) and fill out this form by 10:00 AM November 18th. Please submit one team payment. Contactless payment by PayPal or Venmo is preferred but we will be able to accept cash, credit cards, and checks (made out to "Robonauts Booster Club") at check in on the day of the event. Payment in full must be received by 8:30am on 11/21/20 or your order will be cancelled.
