General Info

Welcome to the Four Corners Hummingbird Native American Aerial Drone Competition! 

This is a special Invitational ONLY Tournament.  50% or more of each registered team should be Native American.  Teams that would like to participate should be added to the waitlist and then you will receive information from the Event Partner. 

  • Please bring all of your own power strips, tools, parts, etc.
  • Safety glasses will be required. 
  • Physical copies of the Competition Logbook will be turned in on the day of the event at Team Check-In.
  • To prepare for the tournament be sure to read the articles found in the Documents Tab. 
  • All participants need to complete the Participant Release Form before the tournament. See the details in the Documents Tab.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Drivers meetings 8:45-9:00 am

Qualifiers start at 9:15 am

Lunch as soon as Qualifiers are done around 12:00pm

Finals at 12:45 - 2: 30 pm

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather will result in a 1 hour delay of the start time for the day.

If we need to cancel the event for any reason, we will notify you via the email you registered with.

Refund and Payment Policies

  • Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by the event partner.  Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing.
  • Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come. 

Judging Format

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
