General Info

VRC High School "High Stakes"  South Florida Regional Championship Qualifier on Sunday, February 16th at Archbishop McCarthy High School.

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events  

Plan to arrive with Robots that are COMPETITION READY.  Ideally, you should do a preliminary inspection of your own prior to arrival, using either the official VRC High Stakes inspection sheet or following guidelines in the Game Manual

Parking is free, but it is a bit of a walk to the student center, so a cart for equipment is recommended.   

Each team should bring a 15ft (or longer) extention cord--power will be within 15 ft of each pit table for charging.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED--ideally, each registered team brings along at least one adult to help run the event--email [email protected] if you are interested!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of severe weather (a hurricane, for instance or Zombie Apocalypse etc) this event will be CANCELLED and your registrations refunded (less a $5 processing fee).

Weather notices or information about a possible cancellation will be posted here on robotevents.com!  Please inform your team and parents to check here for official updates from Archbishop McCarthy High School.

Make sure your team contact information is up-to-date in robotevents.com in the event we need to contact your team.

 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will be issued in the case of an event cancellation (less a $5 processing efee). Please only register robots/teams that intend to attend. Due to the limited space for events, we will not issue a refund for a 'no show.'  If a team has not paid or contacted us to make arrangements for the event by Friday, Feb 7th, they can/will be moved to the waitlist.

Judging Format

 

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Please upload notebooks by 11:59pm on February 8th.
