Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

7:30 AM - Doors open, check-in and inspections open

8:45 AM - Check-in closes (if you're running late, please call the Event Partner to be included in the match list)

9:30 AM - Inspection closes, skills field opens

9:45 AM - Driver's meeting

10:00 AM - Opening ceremonies

10:15 AM - Qualification matches begin

12:30-1:30 Lunch break

1:30 PM Qualification matches resume

3:30 PM Qualification matches end, skills field closes

4:00 PM Alliance Selection

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Elimination matches

5:30 PM - 6:00 PM Closing ceremonies

Volunteer

Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated! All volunteers are trained at the event, so no prior experience is required. Some roles are for adults only, but many are open to students.

All volunteers will be provided with free lunch and drinks.

St. Brendan students can earn community service hours by volunteering at the event!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency cancellation or other change in plans, teams will be notified via the team contact information available through RobotEvents. Please check to insure contact emails and phone numbers are correct and up-to-date.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, a refund will be given. Refunds will always be $5 less than the registration fee due to the non-refundable fees required by RECF. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, please email the Event Partner so teams can be added to the waitlist.

The payment deadline is January 17, 2025. If a team has not paid by this date, they risk being put on the waitlist.
