General Info
We invite your teams to participate in the Placer Robotics/Cavitt Cowboys High stakes for Middle School teams, held at Cavitt Jr High School in Granite Bay, CA
High school teams are invited to the November 3rd tournament on Sunday.
All events will receive state championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. The awards slots will be allocated by RECF later in the season.
Please make sure to review the refund policies and payment deadlines - any team not paid in full by payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Bad weather should not affect this event.
In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible.
Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date, and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
Payment is expected at the time of registration - please do not attempt to hold spots by registering and not making any attempt to pay. Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted by the event payment deadline of Oct 11 will be moved to the waitlist unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.
if you are registering after the payment deadline, you must complete payment at time of registration or you will be moved to the wait list immediately.
Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable
If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams.
No refunds will provided for team requested changes/cancellations.
Requests for changes / team swaps will only be considered if they conform to the RECF team registration / swapping policy. No other changes/swaps will be considered.
Health and Safety Policies
Based on local health and/or venue requirements, the event organizer reserves the right to require safety precautions based on the pandemic conditions at the time of the event - including masking or other precautions. (Currently masking is not required)
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
Notebooks are due Wednesday, October 30th, 9pm. No exceptions! Any notebooks submitted or updated after the deadline will not be considered.
