General Info
Kennedy Robotics clubs re delighted to be hosting the VEX V5 Robotics Competition High Stakes qualifying tournament. This tournament will qualify teams to the Southern New York Regional Championships. Our event is being held at John F. Kennedy High School, 3000 Bellmore Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710.
The event day is: January 25th, 2025
Our event will be held in the main gym. We will have 3 fields with a practice field within the space. Two Skills fields will be in the south cafeteria along with tables for teams to sit and chat with their judges. Spectators are welcome to watch from the bleachers but not allowed in the pit area. The team Pit area will be located in the back of the same gym. Lunch will be provided to volunteers and we will take orders for pizza.
Engineering notebooks need to be submitted by 8 PM January 24th.

Volunteer
An email for volunteer sign up will be sent out closer to the event date. Please sign up for any volunteer positions, any help is greatly appreciated and needed!
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If the school is closed due to bad weather or any situation that is outside of our immediate control the event can be rescheduled to a later date.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: If it is completely cancelled by the Event Partner a refund will be issued. Any team that paid with a credit card will need to provide the school with proof of the charge to the card (sorry this is district policy)
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
You may recieve a refund if you withdraw before 2 weeks of the competition date. If you do not show you are still liable for registration fees since the spot was saved for you at the competition. Any team that paid with a credit card will need to provide the school with proof of the charge to the card (sorry this is district policy)
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is 8 PM January 24, 2025.
