General Info
This will be the Morning session of the Kern Robotics League. Teams will need to arrive by 8:15am so that we can get started right on time to be finished before the afternoon session.
Teams will need to participate in a minimum of 60% of matches to qualify for playoffs.
The sites may have food for sale. We will send out an email a few days before each match letting teams know what food will be available and what food is nearby.
Be sure to turn in Participant Release Forms for all members of your teams online before the day of the event.
The cost for this event is $80 US Dollars. No other currency will be accepted as payment.
There will be no refunds from this league. Be sure that you are planning to be a part of the event, before you sign up for it. It's not fair to other teams to clog up the event and then back out after the registration closes leaving gaps that are difficult to fill.
League Dates:
- October 19:: First set of qualification matches that count for standings
- November 9: Second set of qualification matches that count for standings
- December 7: Third and final set of qualification matches that count for standings. Judging and alliance selection will occur on this date.
- january 11: Playoffs and Awards. Only teams that qualified for playoffs are required to attend.

Volunteer
Teams that register will be assigned a minimum of 1 date to send volunteers to assist with set-up and/or clean-up. Details will follow.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If weather causes travel delays or prevents teams from competing, a partial refund may be available. Contact [email protected] before the beginning of the event.
The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Due to the costs involved with this event, any refunds will be given after all the event expenses has been paid.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Only under extraordinary circumstances and at the discretion of the EP will the team will be given a full refund (minus the $5 robotevents fee). Otherwise, no refund will be given.
Teams that have not paid by the deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

Health and Safety policy will match the current local guidelines and will be updated/communicated within 1 week of the event as necessary.

Judging Format
- In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the 3rd league match (12/7/24). Teams bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges, no electronic copies will be accepted for this event. If a team has an electronic notebook, please print out a copy to turn in at check-in.
- Deadline for Design Notebook submission is 8:15am to be considered for related awards.
