Welcome to DuBois Area Robotics VRC V5 State Qualifier! This event is primarily for schools located in Western Pennsylvania.

*This event is FREE to PA Rural Robotics Member Schools.

Grade Level: High School and Middle School

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

9:00am  =  Doors open

9:30am - 10:00 am  =  Inspections and Pit set-up

10:00 am - 10:10 am  =  Drivers Meeting

10:30am - 12:30pm  =  Qualification Matches/ Skills

12:30 pm - 1:00 pm =  Lunch

1:00pm - 4:00 pm  =  Qualification Matches/ Skills

4:00 pm - 4:30 pm =  Alliance Selection 

4:45 pm - 5:45pm =  Eliminations/Finals

6:15 pm - 6:30 pm  =  Awards Ceremony

Volunteer

Teams will be responsible for field setup after the completion of their match scoring. We will be utilizing volunteers from our school, but will also need coaches and mentors to fill roles when they are at the competition. Responsibilities for volunteers will be determined after registration has closed, but may occur as late as competition day.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If there is inclement weather or a need to cancel, we will provide refunds for team registration.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be issued in the event of a weather cancellation or extenuating circumstance as determined by the Event Partner. You may contact [email protected] or [email protected] to discuss any refunds.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If payment has not been completed, teams can be removed.  Refunds can also be made if notification is before 2 weeks prior to the contest.  If a cancelation is within 2 weeks, no refund will be made.

 

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
