Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

 What's the plan for the day- 

7:00 am – Doors open 

7:30 am – 8:30 am – Inspections

8:30 am – 8:45 am – Drivers Meeting, Judges meeting, Match Schedule distributed 

      at the End of Drivers Meeting- and displayed on TV’s. 

8:45 am – 9:00 am – Opening Ceremony

9:00 am – 12:30 pm – Qualification Matches (Gym field 1 and 2) 

9:00 am - 12:30 pm - Skills Challenge (Gym field 3)  

Lunch Break 12:30 pm –1:15 pm – Lunch Break 

(Field 1 and 2 will be closed during lunch) Field 3 and the pits

 practice field will  remain open as a practice field only no skills.) 

1:15 pm- 1:45 pm – Alliance Selection

2:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Eliminations & Awards

3:35 pm – 4:30 pm – Event clean up

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If there is weather that prevents safe travel we will cancel the tournament as we know many teams come from outside of Reno. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: You will be refunded

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: If you withdraw before 7 days prior you will recieve a refund. 

 

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges..
