General Info

Englewood Elementary School Robotics and 3D printing Club is hosting the Eagle Challenge VEX IQ Rapid Relay Blended tournament.  This event will be held at Englewood Elementary School, 150 N McCall Rd, Englewood, FL 34223.  Specific award winners will qualify for the North/Central Florida Regional championship.  

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form (also available in Spanish).  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

 8:30 AM - Drivers Meeting

8:45 AM - Open Programming/Skills Challenge/Team Interviews

10:30 AM - Teamwork Matches Begin

11:30 AM – Lunch (finish skills and interviews during lunch)

 12:30 PM - Teamwork Matches Continue

 2:50 PM – Conclude Teamwork Matches

 3:00 PM Teamwork Challenge Finals

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, we will have a rain date, which will be made available closer to the event. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

If the EP cancels we will reschedule or issue refunds minus the $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If a coach cancels you will not receive a refund unless your spot can be filled and that refund, if issued, is minus the $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.

Payment Deadline January 20th. 

If your team has not paid by the deadline, the Event Partner reserves the right to move them to the waitlist 

 

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
