Huntington County Community School Corporation and Riverview Middle School are excited to host this middle school VEX IQ State-Qualifying Tournament!

Who:  VEX IQ Middle School Only

What:  VEX IQ State Qualifying Tournament

When: Saturday, January 25, 2025

Why: Great time of year in Indiana!

Spectactors are welcome and there is no limit on the number of spectators. 

There will be concessions offered as well as a breakfast and lunch option to order for teams (all proceeds go back to our robotics program).

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will contact you the morning of the event if officials determine that weather requires its cancellation. 

We will attempt to reschedule if this happens.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds (less the $5 processing fee from REC) will be issued in the case of an event cancellation.


If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or to not attend:

Our planning depends in part on having an accurate team count.  Please only register robot teams that intend to compete. We will issue a refund (less the $5 processing fee from REC)​ only if event partner is informed via email that a team would like to withdraw at least 1 month prior to competition​ (before December 25th). No refunds will be issued after we have passed that date.

and currently, the bridge on State Road 9 over US 24 (northeast of school) is closed for reconstruction.  Drivers will need to avoid this on their route - exits onto 24 before are still open.  See maps.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

  • Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via the link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. 
  • Engineering Notebooks should be uploaded by Tuesday, January 21st.
