General Info

Welcome to the 3nd Annual Inland Empire VEX IQ Middle School League.  We are excited to bring together some of Southern California's finest teams and battle for a chance to go to the state championships.  This event is for new teams and is focused on learning about VEX IQ and exploring the world of competitive robotics.  If you would like to join the league please reach out to the event partner.  Please include your team number and information on where your team is located and experience with VEX IQ.

Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Match Lists will be generated as scheduled and cannot be re-run.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

We are always in need of volunteers for various roles listed below. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to the Event Partner!

Queing - ensure teams are at the queing tables before their matches start 

Skills Referee - help teams get onto/ leave the skills field. Score skills matches at the end. 

Score Keeper Referee - help score the main field matches.

Field Rest - help reset the game elements at the end of each match 

Clean Up - take down all game and field elements from the tournament 

Judge - Interview the teams and determine the winners for the judged awards at the event. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date on RobotEvents.com and includes both school and non-school email addresses and phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

All requests for refunds must be made 2 weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within one month following the event. 

Payment in full is required 2 weeks prior to tournament or teams may be dropped by the event partner. 

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
