General Info

Welcome to Greenville ISD's Ice Ice Bots Elementary Only Rapid Relay Tournament!  Please read each of the following. Each of these will be adhered to with no exceptions. Only Region 2 registrations will be accepted.

  • All attendees are expected to abide by the code of conduct 

    • Although we don’t expect there to be any violations during the tournament, the EP reserves the right to disqualify any person(s) and ask perpetrators to leave the premises. .

  • All participants are expected to have the participant release form . (Spanish)  on file prior to competing.  Please verify that all your students have this form completed and it has been uploaded to your team’s account

Digital engineering notebooks will be accepted through Robot Events and are due on Wednesday, January 8th.

Concessions will be available at the event.

Teams are welcome to bring their own practice fields. If you bring your field, note that it becomes a public field when your team is not using it.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

  • Team check-in and Inspection: 7:30 am - 8:00 am

  • Team Meeting: 8:10 am

  • Qualification/Skills Matches: 8:30 am 

  • 11:45 - 12:30 Lunch

  • 12:35 Resume qualifications matches  

  • Finals Matches: 2:00 pm  - 2:30 pm

  • Awards 2:45 pm - 3:00 pm

*Please keep in mind that all times are approximate. Actual times may be earlier or later as adjusted LIVE based on actual gameplay time and situational needs, We will adhere to the match number rather than match start time.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather we will make the cancelation decision 'Day of' and will reach out as soon as possible. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event refunds will be given.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend, there will not be refunds.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submission deadline is January 8th at 5:00PM.
