Teams are urged to upload the Participant Release Form for each student. The form can be found here in the Documents link to the left. Event Partners (us) must check that these forms are uploaded. This is part of the inspection/check-in process

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If we have inclement weather closure from our school system, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, that causes the event to be canceled, we will refund teams minus the amount we are obligated to pay RECF.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be issued to teams.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
All requests for refunds must be made two weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within one month following the event - less the $5 REC Foundation processing fee.
Health and Safety Policies
Our number one priority is to ensure the safety of everyone at the event.
Please follow guidelines and keep participants at home if they have symptoms as a precaution.
Judging Format
In-Person Interviews - The Team Interviews will be conducted in-person the day of the event.
Remote Judging of Engineering Notebooks - Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The deadline for submitting Engineering Notebooks to be judged is Friday, January 10, 2025 at 5:00pm.
