General Info

We are excited to host our first tournament of the Rapid Relay Season on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Rockwall-Heath High School Ninth Grade Campus.

Tournament Information:

We will provide two game fields and one skills field.

Teams are welcome to bring practice fields as space permits. All practice fields must be shared with all tournament participants.

Concessions will be available.

 

Black Hawk Robotics invites your team to participate in our partnership with 6:30 Outfitters to help provide clothing for youth and teens in the foster care system in Rockwall and surrounding counties.

Please consider donating new or very gently used 'teen comfort clothing' - hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, fuzzy socks.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All cancellations will be communicated through email. Please check your email the day before and the morning of the tournament (before leaving).

Unfortunately, there will not be a make-up tournament in case of weather cancellations.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, a refund will be issued to registered teams.

If the Coach/Mentor cancels team registration no later than Friday, November 1, 2024, a refund will be issued for the canceling team. No refund will be issued for teams canceling or withdrawing after Friday, November 1, 2024.

If the Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and the team chooses to not attend, no refund will be issued to the team.

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

The deadline to submit Digital Engineering Notebooks is Tuesday, November 5, 2024, COB.
