General Info

Chattanoga Valley Middle School is excited to host the Chattanooga Area Robotics Winter League this year. Please note, that while the league is in Georgia teams from Tennessee can still qualify for their region championship through their skills scores.  CVMS is only a 5 minute drive from the St. Elmo area.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to a successful tournament. No prior experience is necessary. Thank you, in advance, for volunteering!

 Participating schools will be asked to provide two individuals to serve as judges on finals night.

If you have an area of expertise, such as judging or refereeing, email [email protected] to volunteer.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, updates will be made by email.

Refund and Payment Policies

Every effort will be made to schedule make-up dates for any cancelation due to weather or building closures.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 
If the event partner cancels and we are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be awarded to all teams.
If cancelation is due to weather and unable to reschedule, a refund minus the $5 Robot Events processing fee will be issued.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
If a team/coach cancels, no refunds will be awarded.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
