Welcome to the Royal Knights VEX IQ Fall Tournament!

We are thrilled to welcome you to a day of exciting robotics competition! This event promises to be a fantastic experience with teams from across the region showcasing their skills and innovation. Here’s what you need to know for a smooth and enjoyable tournament:

Important Information:

  • Digital Notebook Submission: Teams must submit their digital notebook by Friday, November 8, 2024.
  • Parking: Teams may use the main parking lot in front of the venue.
  • Entrance: All teams should enter through the main entrance.
  • Pit Area Access: Only registered teams and mentors are allowed in the pit area.
  • Spectator Information: Spectators should remain in the designated spectator area to watch the competition.
  • Competition Floor Access: Access is restricted to team members, official volunteers, and referees.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event weather is an issue please stay tuned to RobotEvents. Teams will be notified on or before Friday, November 8th in the event the event in cancelled.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • A refund of $35.00 per paid team will be issued should the event be cancelled. If the event is postponed by the Event Partner and a team is no longer able to compete, the Event Partner will refund the registration fee if notified 5 days before the rescheduled event.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

  • No refund will be issued.

Health and Safety Policies

At this time there are no restrictions.  Should this change, the requirements will be changed under this category.  Please check back frequently.

NOTE: All policies are subject to change.

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
