General Info
We are excited to welcome teams to the Challenge at the Mount competition! Please make note of the location change. This event will no longer be held at Mt. Pleasant Middle School this year. The event will be held at Thompson's Station Middle School (2638 Clayton Arnold Rd., Thompson's Station, TN 37179)
Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, times, and food information will be emailed to registered teams closer to the tournament date. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Audrey or Eric.
Participants are required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com.
If the event is full, please add your team to the wait list.
Payments are due by 1/10/25. Teams that have not paid by this deadline may be removed so that teams can be added from the waitlist.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.
Agenda
The Schedule below has been used at previous Challenge at the Mount events. Teams should expect a similar schedule at this year's event. The final schedule for the event will be communicated to all registered teams once registration has closed.
7:15-9:00 am Check-In and Inspection
7:45 am Judging Initial Interviews Begin
8:00 am Skills Fields Open
9:15 am Opening Meeting
9:45 am Qualifying Matches Begin
12:30-1:30 pm Lunch Break (Skills Closed)
Second Round Judging will take place during lunch. Teams will be notified prior to lunch if they have a second interview.
1:30 pm Qualifying Matches Resume
2:30 pm Skills Fields Close
3:30 pm Finals Matches Begin

Volunteer
Volunteers are essential to a successful tournament. Please consider volunteering. No prior experience is necessary. Please email [email protected] to sign up. Volunteers will receive any training necessary and a full day of inspiration working with incredibly talented youth.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, all event updates will be communicated through email to registered teams.

Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event for any reason other than inclement weather:
A refund will be given, less the $5 processing fee for REC Foundation.
If the Event Partner must cancel BEFORE the start of the event due to inclement weather, which could impact the safety of students and spectators on event day:
A 50% refund, less the $5 processing fee for REC Foundation, will be issued.
If the event has started and is discontinued due to inclement weather:
No refund will be given
If registration is completed and payment is applied for a team, and that team chooses to withdraw and/or does not attend for any reason other than cancellation by the event partner:
No refund will be given.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
