General Info

The Turkey Tech Throwdown is open to Elementary & Middle School VEX IQ teams. The event is a State Qualifying event.  

Outside food is NOT allowed at this event.  Concessions will be available, we will also offer a pizza order for lunch.  For parents, food options are available in the surrounding area.

8:30- 10:00 am All skill runs can be completed after inspection before team matches

Volunteer

If you would like to volunteer please reach out to our host school ([email protected]). 

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

  • Team check-in
  • Pizza Distribution
  • Scorekeepers
  • Judges

If any schools would like to lend a field to serve as a practice field or for skills please let us know. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will try our best to reschedule if canceled due to bad weather. Teams will be notified of cancellation through the e-mail address provided in RobotEvents during registration.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event to those who cancel in due time.  

  • Refunds from robotevents will deduct $5 from your registration fee. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

  • Refunds will not be given to teams canceling less than a week before the competition.

  • Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event to those who cancel in due time.

Competition will be in the gym with bleacher seating.

Pits will be located in the cafeteria directly across from the gym.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
