*For most teams this is likely your first event. Teams are urged to upload the Participant Release Form for each student.  The form can be found here in the Documents link to the left. Event Partners (us) must check that these forms are uploaded.  This is part of the inspection/check-in process

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

> 9:00 - driver meeting

> 9:15 am – 12 noon qualifier matches and skills begin

> 12 to 12:30- lunch break

> 12:35 - 2:30pm qualifier matches and skills

> 2:40pm - finals -  5 alliances   Top 10 teams in ranking*
*could change to 6 depending on event size

>3:00 pm - awards

> 3:15 – cleanup

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If we have bad weather or a Covid policy from our school system, Baltimore County Public Schools, that causes the event to be cancelled, we will refund teams minus the amount we are obligated to pay RECF.

Also, if a policy for Covid changes to the point your team's families are uncomfortable with the students attending or there is a sudden Covid issue affecting your team where they cannot participate, again we will refund the team minus the amount we must pay RECF.

COVID-19 Related Event Modifications

Our number one priority is to ensure the safety of everyone at the event.

Please follow guidelines and keep participants at home if they have symptoms as a precaution.

We will continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.

Parking is available in the front and rear of the building.

Also, depending on weather, we will open overflow parking next to the tennis courts at the front of the building.

Judging Format

 

  •  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews will be judged in-person the day of the event. 
  • Notebooks will be collected at registration on the morning of the event.
