General Info

Welcome to HCCSC's VEX VIQRC Full Volume ES Competition! We are looking forward to hosting our first official VEX event.

We will be hosting an Elementary Only Competition at Flint Springs Elementary, Huntington, IN.

This event will offer Robotics Skills, Judging, and Teamwork Challenge Events.

Team Pits will be in the cafeteria, with competetive events in the main gym.

There will be a concession stand available throughout the day.

Pizza Order Forms will be available closer to the competition date.

Any team not paid within two weeks of the event will be transferred to the waitlist. Refunds are not guaranteed and are only issued at the discretion of the event organizers

Please make sure all participant and coaches have filled out the online participants release form because the REC now requires all Event Partners to check to make sure all teams have submitted the required online form.

If your team needs any special accommodations, please contact Katie Jeanne Paff, in advance, so that arrangements can be made to meet the needs of your team.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Although we do not plan on having inclement weather we need to be prepared because we live in Indiana.  Please know that we will do everything in our power to host the competition on the scheduled date. If the event is unable to take place due to inclement weather, registration fees will be returned minus $5.00 non-refundable REC Foundation fee. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

If the Event Partner cancels the event and it is rescheduled those that are unable to make the rescheduled event will recieve a refund minus the $5.00 non-refundable fee to the REC Foundation.  If it is unable to be rescheduled a refund minus the $5.00 non-refundable fee to the REC Foundation will be reimbursed to each team.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw, a refund will be up to the discretion of the Event Partner. However, no refunds will be considered when we reach 3 weeks prior to the event. All refund requests must be submitted prior to three weeks before the event occurs. 

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
