General Info

Welcome to Vinci VEX IQ Full Volume Qualifier at Lexington (November 4th, 2022)

Open to all level teams. Everyone is welcome. Spectators are allowed at the competition.

One Pizza will be provided to each team.

 

Make sure that all students have filled out the Participant Release Form and submit them online.

We will warn you of the weather in advance.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

  • 8:30 am - Doors Open
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am - Check-In/Registration/Inspection
    • Note: All teams must be through inspection by 9:45 am
    • Notebooks should be turned in before the inspection closes through the Digital Engineering Notebook portal on Robot Event
  • 9:30 am - 9:45 am - Welcome, followed by Drivers Meeting
  • 9:45 am - 1:30 pm - Skills Challenge Fields Open
    • Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 1:30 pm. Any teams in line at that time will have an opportunity to complete their Skills matches. Each team will be able to run 3 Driver Skills Challenges and 3 Programming Challenges.
  • 9:45 am - 12:30 pm - Qualification Rounds
  • 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm - Break for lunch 
  • 1:15 pm - 2:00 pm - Teamwork Challenge Finals
  • 2:00 pm - Awards
    • Notes: After notebooks have been reviewed, interviewing will begin for Excellence and Design Awards.

Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews:

  • Engineering notebooks are required to be submitted digitally through RobotEvents.com. The submission deadline is before the inspection closes.
  • Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event.
