General Info
Welcome to the Fox Valley VIQC League!
This year each league night wil be hosted at one of two locations: Riverview Lutheran School or Neenah Middle School. See the schedule below for the league night locations.
League Nights at Neenah Middle School (old Neenah High School) will be held in the Conant Gym. Park in the main parking lot and enter through Door 3. See the image gallery for a map.
The Fox Valley VIQC League is designed to give teams many opportunities to compete and improve throughout the season. We will compete on Monday nights following the schedule below.
- Teams need to compete in at least 60% of the matches to be ranked for alliance selection. That means competing in 4 of the 6 league play nights. Once a team reaches 4 nights of competition, we reserve the right to restrict them from playing based on the number of teams that show up for a night.
- Some nights will be more crowded than others. We have team workspaces available, but teams may need to double up (or more) to allow for space for all teams. Try to only bring the items you need for league night to save space.
- We can always use more volunteers to help with running the league night sessions. Jobs needed include: Check-in/Inspection, Referee, Score Keeper, TM Operator, and Announcer. If you or another coach or a parent is willing, please step up when asked, or better yet, come and offer your service!
- We are guests of whomever hosts league night and are very appreciative of the space they allow us to use. Please make sure to respect the area and not let your students disturb equipment or material that is also in the space. Please also help with cleaning up at the end of each night to keep the space as neat as possible.
Judging
On the January 22 League Night, teams that are interested in winning the Design or Excellence award may turn in their Engineering/Design Notebooks. They will be evaluated by a team of judges and returned that night. An Engineering/Design Notebook is required for a team to be eligible for the Excellence Award and the Design Award. If 10 or more teams are registered at each the Elementary School and Middle School levels, an Excellence Award will be earned by a team at each level.
