Thank you for considering joining us for our event.  We are very excited to have students able to participate!

  • Teams are urged to upload the Participant Release Form for each student.  The form can be found here in the Documents link to the left. Event Partners (us) must check that these forms are uploaded.  This is part of the inspection/check-in process
  • Teams are reminded that their robot will be inspected at check-in. Please see the inspection form at the Documents link to the left.

This a reminder that we are accepting only digital notebooks due before the event, January 9, 2024.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Doors, check in & inspection open at 8:300 am

  • Teams MUST check in by 9:30 am
  • 9:45 am - driver meeting
  • 10:00 am – 12:15 pm qualifier matches begin
  • 12:15 pm to 12:45- lunch 
  • 12:45 pm - 2:30 pm qualifier matches
  • 2:45 pm - finals
  • 3:15 pm - awards
  • 3:45 – cleanup

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If we have inclement weather closure from our school system, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, that causes the event to be canceled, we will refund teams minus the amount we are obligated to pay RECF.

If a sudden illness-related issue affects your team where they cannot participate, we will refund the team minus the amount we must pay RECF. Please contact Event Partner, Em Callahan [email protected] regarding emergencies.

The competition will utilize the gymnasium entrance of the building. Please park in the lot at Andover Road & South Hammonds Ferry Road and walk up the paths to the rear part of the building.

 

Judging Format

  • Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents by 11:59 pm January 9, 2024
