General Info
The Omaha Area VEX IQ League's mission is to provide convenient opportunities for elementary and middle school students in Omaha Metro area to compete in local robotics tournaments. League Play dates are especially designed to be an introduction to VEX IQ for young and new teams, the shorter format allows each event to last about 2.5 hours.
The Championship Event for the Omaha Area VEX IQ League Play will be held in the final session on Jan 6th, 2024 at Mary Our Queen Catholic School. The top twenty-four (24) teams from the qualification Ranking will participate in Finals at the Championship Event. These twenty-four (24) teams will be automatically paired into twelve (12) Alliances. The top scoring alliance in Finals will earn the Tournament Champion Award.
Skills Challenges will be available at each League Play event to all teams, with 3 Max Driver attempts and 3 Max Programming attempts per team.
Students this year will design robots for the Full Volume, details can be found here: https://www.vexrobotics.com/vexiq/competition/viqc-current-game

Volunteer
Get Inspired and Have Fun! Be a part of the excitement by joining a team of volunteers who help in a variety of ways to make this event a success for the students involved.
Volunteers will be coordinated at each individual League Play location, the overall Volunteer Coordinator is Tara Petersen ([email protected] or 402-871-3024). League Play events last just over 2 hours, making League Events a great introduction to volunteering for VEX IQ.
Experience level:
No previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions, and you can even bring your kids for a family activity (for example, Field Resetter is an ideal position for young children).
Want to find out more about these volunteer roles and expectations? Visit the REC Foundation website at RoboticsEducation.org/volunteer to check out position descriptions and find volunteer training materials.
Once you have an assigned volunteer role, please carefully review all guides and training materials posted on the Volunteer Resources page before the event at RoboticsEducation.org/volunteers/volunteer-resources/
Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to register for this event today!
