The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda

Notebooks due Friday before the event (8 days before the event) at 4:00 PM

8:00 Doors open, registration, and inspection

IF YOU ARE NOT CHECKED IN BY 8:45 YOU WILL BE LEFT OFF THE MATCH LIST.  IF YOU ARE RUNNING BEHIND CALL ME AT 561 463 8641.

9:00 Opening remarks, driver meeting - Robot skills will run until the qualification matches are over.  Get your rounds in early!

We are going to run in two divisions in the following order:

1:  Division 1 runs 4 qualification matches, Division 2 does skills / judging
2:  Division 2 runs 4 qualification matches, Division 1 does skills / judging
3:  Division 1 runs 4 qualification matches, Division 2 does skills / judging
4:  Division 2 runs 4 qualification matches, Division 1 does skills / judging

Matches will run tight.  I will have the Emcee start the matches about 10-15 seconds after the last one ends.  Your students should IMMEDIATELY get back in the queuing line if their division is running.  We will not have the time (or energy) to look for anyone.  The matches will run without you!

5:  FINALS (9 Alliances, 18 Teams)

This is all followed by awards!

I will try and get you all out of there by 2:00, but it could run as late as 5.

Parents and coaches, thank you for helping us run a smooth VEX IQ event!
