General Info

This event is moved to November 5th to give teams affected by Hurricane Ian more time. 

Join us at the Welcome Back Challenge.  It's early in the season.  Let's figure out this field and game together.

  • Only the team members and one adult, in addition to the team coach, is allowed at the pit table at any time during the event.
  • Skills runs will be run during alliance matches. . 
  • Masks may be worn.

This information will be updated as district policies change.

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteers are welcome.  Please contact Brian Jonas at [email protected] if you would like to help.

There will be one ref at each field.  Teams will be expected to be at the staging table during the match prior to theirs.

All teams are asked to insure that their tables are free of trash at the end of the day. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

There will be no refunds due to bad weather.  Every attempt will be made to reschedule either live or virtually if a cancellation is required.

Refund and Payment Policies

Any refund requests due to extenuating circumstances will be handled on a case by case basis and made in the sole discretion of the Event Partner. It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments prior to attending the event. In all cases, each registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable.

Judging Format

  •  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
