I have 2 students on one of my VEX IQ Challenge teams who are also in an outside of school VRC team. We have a competition on Nov 11th that has been confirmed. This tournament will have VIQC and VRC competing at it. Both of their different teams are competing on that same day. It is different divisions (one is MS VIQC and the other is HS VRC). I know the rule is they can't be on two teams within the same division, but this is slightly different.

Will they be able to compete at the tournament under 2 different divisions? Or will they have to choose?

The rules for VIQRC and VRC teams do not prohibit a Student from participating in both competitions.

However, in the situation you've described (in which a Student is on VIQRC and VRC Teams that are competing at the same event), students (especially Drive Team Members) should be expected to choose which Team they are competing with for the duration of that event. “Our driver is in a VIQRC Match” would not be considered an acceptable justification for being late to a VRC Match (or vice-versa).
