Becoming an Event Partner and hosting your own VEX VRC, VIQRC, or VEXU competitions is a step that many may wish to take - and is one that may be easier than you think! In addition to giving local teams an opportunity to compete, hosting a competition can also become an important component to the sustainability and growth of your program. 

The purpose of this roughly 1 hour training (with additional time for Q&A) is to provide an overview of the role of an Event Partner, how to get started on planning a competition, the steps involved for posting an event on RobotEvents for other teams to register for, and finally a quick overview of the VEX Tournament Manager software which runs the scoring and audio/visual aspects of an event. This presentation is geared for EPs and their key volunteers that may have some experience as an EP but are looking for a refresher webinar. There will be time at the end of the presentation for any questions attendees may have about event management or Tournament Manager.

Before the meeting, attendees are advised to please check over the EP Guide and the Event Qualifying Criteria, and you may also wish to download VEX Tournament Manager so you can more easily follow along during the Tournament Manager section,

The EP guide will give you an overview of the Event Partner role and responsibilities, the Qualifying Criteria outlinse the requirements for events, and VEX Tournament Manager is the software used to manage a competition.
