Welcome to the annual USF Bull Run VRC Tournament! We are excited to be hosting yet another event for both Middle & High School teams. We are even prouder to annouce that we are back to hosting this event at the heart of the University of South Florida's campus. We hope Tampa welcomes you all to a warm Florida weekend filled with an electrifying robotics competition! Doors open at 10:30am, we can't wait to see you here!
All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish) Once per season covers all events.
University Logistics
This event will take place at the University of South Florida Tampa campus. Teams, participants, and all guests will be required to follow all University policies while on-campus. https://www.usf.edu/regulations-policies/
In Regard to South Florida Teams
Teams that are home to the South Florida region are more than welcome to compete, however any qualifying award will not qualify them for neither the South nor North Florida Regional Championship. The skills score for South Florida teams will count and be placed into the world rankings.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.
Agenda
10:30am - Doors open to everyone
10:35am to 11:50am - Inspection
12:00pm - Drivers Meeting
1pm to 4:30pm - Qualification Matches
4:40pm to 5:10pm - Alliance Selection
5:20pm to 6:20pm - Elimination Matches
6:30pm - Award Ceremony
The event wraps up by 6:45pm.
There will be a dedicated skills field that will open once the field is assembled. Once a team has checked in and passed inspection, they will able to complete their skills runs. Running skills on the competition fields will be allowed once a field has been assembled. The competition skills fields will close shortly before qualification matches in order to be queded and ready for qualification mathces. The dedicated skills field will close at the end of qualifications. We highly encourage teams to plan to complete skills matches early on, as lines can get busy.
Voluntario
Volunteers are the unsung heros of any great event. We hope to gather a great group of volunteers to enhance the experince for all teams and guests! Please feel free to follow the link and sign up for any position(s) that you believe you can fulfil.
Please make sure if you do decide to volunteer for multiple positions, that the time slots do not interfere with one another. Likewise, if the position slot mentions the volunter needing to be cerrtified, then please make sure to reach out so we can make sure you are quailified for the desired position.

Política de emergencia/mal tiempo
The event is held indoors and unless there's severe inclement weather - like a hurricane - the event will continue as planned. In the event of a severe weather event, the tournament will be canceled.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: If inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances arise, the event may be canceled and teams will be refunded in full.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: After the payement deadline has ended, January 7, 2024 @12pm (noon), no refunds will be issued for any withdrawn teams or teams that do not show the day of the event.
Health and Safety Policies

The University of South Florida's Marshall Student Center is located at 4103 USF Cedar Cir, Tampa, FL 33620. The event will take place on the second floor of the Marshall Student Center. There are 2 elevators open for team usage. There will be signage to help guide teams to the event space. A detailed image will be shared with teams the week before the event in regards of where parking is allowed and how to enter the Marshall Student Center from the parking areas.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
