Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

09:00 - Skills Field open (will operate concurrently to event)

09:30 - Driver Meeting

09:45 - Qualification Matches begin

11:30 - Lunch begins

12:00 - Lunch ends

14:15 - Qualification Matches end & Skills Field closed

14:30 - Alliance Selection begins

15:00 - Elimination Matches begin with Awards between rounds

16:30 - Elimination Matches concluded

17:00 - Event closed

Event will require —

4 to 6 Judges (adults only / preferably trained but not necessary)

4 Scoring Referees (15 years old or older)

1 Skills Field Referee (adult only)

5 Morning Field Resetters (ideal position for youth)

5 Afternoon Field Resetters (ideal position for youth)

In the event of bad weather, the event will take direction from local emergency protocols and school district policies. Notification will be provided as soon as event hosts are notified.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Full refund

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Teams withdrawing prior to one week before the event will be refunded the event registration fee minus $5.00 for RECF processing fee. Teams withdrawing with less than one week until the event and teams that do not attend the event will not be refunded.

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
