Información general

Thank you for registering for our event!  Doors open at 11am for teams. We will not have a lunch break for this competition. Please eat prior to the competition, and bring your own snacks for later. 

Competition space will be limited and audience seating will be sparse. Please consider limiting the number of friends/family attending as much as possible.

Robot Skills will be run on a VRC portable competition field atop a standard-height (24") riser.  

All attendees are expected to abide by the code of conduct .

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form (also available in Spanish).  Once per season covers all events.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE! We will strive to be on or ahead of schedule. Eat lunch before you arrive as there is no break for lunch. Bring snacks with you. Competition space will be limited and audience seating will be sparse. Please consider limiting the number of friends/family attending as much as possible.

 

11:00 Doors Open; Teams Check-In and Inspection

11:15 Robot Skills Open - Skills will run until the qualification matches are over. We may be able to extend the time, but get your attempts in early! Robot Skills will be run on a VRC portable competition field atop a standard-height (24") riser.  

11:45 Opening Remarks, Driver Meeting

12:30 - 3:10 Qualification Matches and Judging

3:20  Alliance Selections

3:45 - 5:00 Finals Matches immediately followed by Awards

5:30 (or earlier) Conclusion

This event will only be postponed due to extreme weather condition and district policies.

Refund and Payment Policies

If you register and pay and are not able to attend, we will not be able to issue a refund.

If you register but don't pay your registration fee by the payment deadline (2023-09-22), your team(s) will be moved to the waitlist and the available spots will go to other teams on the waitlist.

In the event that this competition gets cancelled by the event partner, you will receive a refund for your registration fees.

Información de viaje

Parking will be tight due to several events happening on campus. VRC participants should park in the lots to the left or right of the main entrance. Please don't park in the visitor section or any specially-marked parking spots. Avoid parking spots marked with "Reserved". 

Doors to the left and right of the main office lead into the courtyard. Walk straight across the courtyard and look for the hallway marked "510". Inside this hallway, the event will be taking place in room 509.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
