Información general
Holmes Middle School is delighted to host the 2022 VEX in the Valley Pumpkin Classic, a VEX Spin Up Tournament. The event will be open to 36 middle schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend the California State Championship. This event will be limited to three teams per school. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up a third team, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations who are not yet registered. On-site parking is free.
Registration will be at 8:00 am, sharp.
Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Refund and Payment Policies
Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed a minimum of two weeks prior to the event date. Unpaid teams will be removed from the event, allowing space for teams on the wait list. Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event venue, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding. It is essential that all teams check in before 8:00 am.

As we are in the midst of the pandemic, following precautions will be implemented to minimize the risk.
1) It is mandatory to wear a face mask to participate in this Tournament.

Judging Format
In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews will be judged in-person the day of the event.
Electronic Engineering Notebook Submissions are due two weeks before the event for early review by the Judges and further details will be made available as we get closer to the event: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the Event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted electronically for evaluation, with a submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
