Información general

Thank you for your interest in the WCMS Winter VRC tournament! We will contact registered teams closer to the event with more details, including directions, campus maps, times, and food ordering information.

Participants are also required to submit the VEX liability release form electronically.

Physical notebooks must be submitted for judging. Please print out digital notebooks and put them in a binder for submission.

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

9:30 AM to 12:00 PM – Qualification Matches

9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Skills Challenges Field Open

12:00 PM to 1:00 PM – Lunch Break

1:00 PM to 2:30 PM – Qualification Matches

2:45 PM – Alliance Selection

3:00 PM to 4:00 PM – Elimination Matches

4:00 PM – Awards Ceremony

Voluntario

Volunteers are essential to a successful tournament. Please consider volunteering and encouraging family members to give of their time. No prior experience is necessary. Please email [email protected] to sign up. Volunteers will receive any training necessary. Thank you for your time!

In the event of inclement weather, a notice of cancellation will be made via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be given

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be given.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
