General Info

Thank you for your interest in our Madison County Schools VRC Tournament! This event will be for MCS teams only.

This event will be a masked event, so all participants and coaches will need to wear masks to attend.

This event will be open to spectators, however we ask spectators to stay in the cafeteria and watch the livestream until your child's team is at the field. You may also watch the event from home at the following link:

The main tournament will take place Saturday along with awards Saturday afternoon. Please be flexible as our agenda is tentative and subject to change. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email jrichardson@madison-schools.com. Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com or in person at the event.

Mandatory: All participants must have a Participant Release Form on file. It is the responsibility of the Team’s Primary Contact to make sure this occurs. A link to the instructions on how to submit a Participant Release Form is found here.

Digital Notebook: A digital Engineering Notebook must be submitted to qualify for the Excellence Award and Desgin Award. Submit a link to your notebook here by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 if you want it considered for judging. The notebook is only shared with event staff, including the Event Partner, Judge Advisor, Judges, and may include the REC Foundation RSM. Instructions on how to submit your notebook is on the sign-up sheet linked above. Details on this process are given in the Judge Guide Addendum.

Inspection: Inspection will occur during your Skills Session time slot. No additional time will be given to complete the Inspection. Please be prepared and ensure that your robot will pass inspection BEFORE the competition by reviewing the Inspection Checklist.

Tournmament: Teams should carefully review the Game Manual.

Interviews: Teams will be interviewed virtually on Friday, October 22 from 4 - 7 pm. Sign up here for your interview time.

Please note - This event will be live-streamed. Participation in this event signifies your understanding that you may be aired publicly for others to view remotely.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If weather, a local emergency, or enhanced coronavirus restrictions cause us to cancel or modify the scheule for this event, all teams will be notified via email.

Refund Policy

Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event partner, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Health and Safety Policies

FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL INVOLVED, THIS EVENT WILL BE A MASKED EVENT. ALL PARTICIPANTS, COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS.

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary. 

Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, safety precautions may be updated as the event date approaches.

Engineering Notebooks
