Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

Friday January 24th

5:00 - 8:00 - Teams will be allowed to check in, inspect and run their skills during this time. Robots, tools and other equipment may be left overnight at the teams own risk.

Saturday January 25th

7:30 - Doors Open

8:00 - Check in/Inspection opens

9:00 - Inspection/Check in closes

9:15 - Drivers meeting

9:30 - Qualifications rounds/Skills begin

12:00-1:00 - Break for lunch

1:00 - Qualifications Resume

3:00 - Alliance Selection (16 Alliances in Finals)

3:30 - Elimination Rounds Begin

4:30 - Awards

5:30 - Venue Closes

Política de emergencia/mal tiempo

In case of emergency or inclimate weather, primary contacts will be notified as soon as possible regarding cancellations or rescheduling. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event a refund will be issued to the teams at the earliest possible time.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If a coach or mentor contacts the event partner to withdraw before January 11th to the event a refund shall be issued not including the RECF processing fee. 

If a team withdraws after January 11th, or is a no show on the day of the event refunds will not be issued.

Judging Format

• All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
