Información general

Golden West Middle School is proud to host our annual VEX Robotics Tournament. Over Under is an exciting game and we can't wait to see all the cool designs and talk with some amazing students!

This tournament is strictly for middle school teams.  

All teams will be provided with a table and 2-4 chairs, and an electrical outlet for charging batteries. Please provide your own surge protector and bring all chargers, extra parts, and computers. Food will be available for purchase (more info on this to come)

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Friday, 2/7
4 pm - 6 pm: Optional load in, Inspection, and Practice

Saturday, 2/8
7:00 am: Doors Open, Registration, and Inspections
8:15 am: Event Announcements/Drivers Meeting
8:45 am: Opening Ceremonies
9:00 am - 11:30 am: Qualifying Matches
11:30 am - 12:15 pm: Lunch
12:15 pm - 2:30 pm: Qualifying Matches
2:30 pm: Alliance Selection
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Elimination Matches
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Awards and Closing ceremonies.
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Cleaning up!!

Voluntario

Volunteers may be needed to assist with Field Reset, Setup and Teardown. Email David Nadler at [email protected] if you have folks that can help out.

Política de emergencia/mal tiempo

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency.   Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds after 12/31/2024 unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List. Any refunds provided will be less the $5 Robot Events processing fee.

Teams that have not paid by 12/31/2024 will be moved to the Waiting List.

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judge.
