Información general
The Harvey School is pleased to host the Vex V5 "High Stakes" Competition at our campus in northern Westchester County, just 40 minutes north of NYC and an hour from most of Long Island. We have a beautiful facility, plenty of parking, a brand new double gym, WIFI and a separate cafeteria for a little peace and quiet if you need it. This year, we are expecting 48 teams. Each team will have 8 matches.
Our goal is to provide the largest, most competitive, and comfortable event of the year. There will be plenty of room, tables, electric and wifi for every team. There will be 3 competition fields, two skills fields, and 3 practice fields. We use Smart Field Controllers. Please be prepared: Smart Field Controller for Teams
You will receive additional information the week before the event. If you have any additional questions, please contact John Wahlers at [email protected] or 914-523-4769 or Chris Kelly at [email protected] or 914-584-0980.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Skills Notes:
- We will again use the ticketing system(with improvements!) to determine the order of skills runs, negating the need to stand in line. Teams may request one ticket. Once their run is complete, they may request another ticket.
- Skills runs will begin after the completion of the driver meeting, estimatred at 9:15am.
- Skills will end approximately 1 hour before the end of qualification matches to give the judges a chance to incorporate skills results.
- The EP, in consulation with the skills field volunteers, will determine the close time for skills and announce the time at 2pm.
- Close time is a hard deadline. The team(s) on the skills fields at closing time will be the last runs of the day. Those still holding tickets will not be able to run.
