Información general

South High Robotics is delighted to be hosting this VRC High Stakes qualifying tournament. This tournament will qualify teams to Southern New England Regional Championships. Our event will be held at South High Community School, Worcester, MA 01603

The event date is: January 25, 2025

Our event will be held in a few spaces. The School Cafeteria will act as the pits. Each team will be given half of a standard school cafeteria table. Power strips will be available for charging batteries along the sides of the cafeteria, but each team will only be alotted 1 outlet, so teams should bring additional power strips to charge multiple batteries at once. Teams will not have power available at their pit table.

Ample parking is available on site. Teams and those with limited mobility should use the driveway to unload. Handicap spots are in the front of the building.

Lunch will be provided to student team members and their adult coach.

An on-site concession stand will be available for those wishing to purchase light snacks during the day.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

If venue is closed due to bad weather or any situation outside our immediate control and the event can not be rescheduled, refunds, minus event costs, will be issued within two months of event date.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be made after Registration closes, if team withdraws from event prior to registration closing, full refund will be issued within two months of event date.

Teams with unpaid balances on RobotEvents.com: will be placed on the waitlist the week prior to event, unless they have made payment arrangements with the Event Partner.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook submissions most be posted on RobotEvents.com by January 18, 2023 to be considered for Judged Awards that require a Engineering Notebook.  Physical notebooks brought to event may not be considered in the Judging process.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
