Información general

Region 4 STEM Center 'Tech The Halls' VRC hosted by Northwest High for the 2024-2025 season!  We (Northwest High) are hosting on behalf of the Region 4 STEM Network Center.  We will be doing digital notebooks only. Please submit your digital notebook to the link provided on your team's page on robot events. Parking will be on site. We have plenty of space to park. You may park in our student parking lot, teacher's parking lot, and in front of school. An email will be sent out with the parking map closer to the event. Our school is in the country, the nearest town is about 10 minutes away that has plenty of eating options. We will have concession with lunch options as well. A menu will be sent out closer to the event. Concessions will be cash only. I will let everyone know if we can accept debit/credit cards closer to the event.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

7:30 AM to 8:45 AM - Event Check-In/Registration/Compliance Check

9:00 AM - Opening Ceremonies

9:15 AM to 12:00 PM - Qualification Matches

12:00 PM to 1:30 PM - Lunch Break

1:30 PM to 3:30 PM - Qualification Matches

3:30 PM - Alliance Selection

3:45 PM to 4:30 PM - Elimination Matches

4:30 PM - Awards Ceremony

Política de emergencia/mal tiempo

In the event of an emergency or bad weather, the event may be canceled.


In any event, teams will be contacted as soon as possible with the information. The event partner will contact the teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: If the event is canceled, refunds will be issued.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

If your team registers for the competition and chooses to withdraw before the day of the event, we will refund your money if you have paid. 

If your team withdraws on the day of the competition, if you have already paid, no refund will be given. If you have not paid, you will still be responsible for payment.

If your team does not attend the competition, you will not revieve a refund if already paid.

If your team does not attend the competition and have not yet paid, you will still be responsible for payment. 

 

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date. All digital notebooksshould be submitted by Friday December 6th @ 8 PM CST
