We are excited to invite teams into our school again this year!
The Dorchester VRC Qualifier will be qualifying event for the SC MS VRC State Championship. If teams wish to be judged and in the running for Design and Excellence awards, teams bring a copy of thier engineering notebook to the event.
When teams arrive at East Edisto Middle School, they will enter through the gym to the left of the front of the school. Only registered team members and one coach will be allowed to pit, area around the gym floor, tables will be set up and labled with team numbers. All other people associated with the teams including parents, siblings, and other spectators must remain in the stands or hallway.
The East Edisto Snack Shack will be open with snacks and lunch options. More details will be sent out before the event.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

If bad weather prevents event then we will move it to the following weekend.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels/postpones the event and you are unable to attend than a refund minus $10 will be administered to the teams.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend then a refund will not be administered.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
