Thank you for your interest in our VEX VRC Tournament! Come out and help us make it a successful day full of engineering achievements and friendly competition! The event will be hosted at Pleasant Valley Middle School located in Wichita, KS. We will have concessions available throughout the day and a lunch special (TBD) available for participating teams.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Saturday Februrary 1st, 2025

7:30 AM – Doors Open

8:00 AM – Inspection Opens

8:45 AM – Inspection Closes, Drivers Meeting, Opening Ceremony

9:00 AM – Qualifying Matches Begin, Skill Fields Open

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Lunch

11:30 AM – Skill Field Closed for Lunch

11:50 AM – Skill Field Open (Will use 2 fields if needed)

12:30 PM – Qualifying Marches Continue

2:30 PM – Skill Field Closes, Qualification Closes

2:40 PM – Alliance Selection Begins

3:00 PM – Elimination Tournament Begins

4:00 PM – Closing Ceremony

An event success depends on many volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Corey Roezean at [email protected]!

We can use volunteers of all experience levels.  Current volunteer roles for which we are recruiting:

  • Scorekeeper Referee (Skills and Competition)
  • Competition and Skills Queuers
  • Judges
  • Pit Supervisors

In the event of bad weather, updates will be made via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by the Event Partner (PVMS). Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come.  Registrations will not be refunded once the event closes on Robot Events.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
