Información general

Welcome to the 11th annual Space City VRC High School tournament!

Space City has long been on the schedule annually for teams from across the state of Texas, and in recent years teams from across the country.  We are happy to welcome you to our home for the first Space City Signature Event in 2024!  Space City is hosted at the Clear Creek ISD Robotics Event Center, the first dedicated space in the United States just for VEX Robotics Competitions.  The Robotics Event Center is home to over 30 VEX Robotics Competition events each year including the Texas Region 3 Championships, the RECF-UIL Texas High School Championships, Texas VEXU, and most recently the 2024 VEX AI World Championship.

While you are here visit Space Center Houston

Space Center Houston is the area's number 1 attraction for international visitors.  The science and space exploration learning center tells the complete story of NASA and human space-flight.  You can touch moon rocks, board the space shuttle carrier, and take tours of NASA's Johnson Space Center.  You can visit Mission Control where you will see live action of what is in flight now as well as visit the historic Mission Control center to experience the first lunar landing.  Tour Building 9, the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, where astronauts train to live aboard the international space station and prepare to visit both the Moon and Mars.  Discount ticket info is coming soon.

Other Attractions

While you are here visit Kemah Boardwalk, just a few minutes away.  Kids of all ages love the Boardwalk, it's the perfect family getaway! Watch sailboats while you dine on the decks, ride amusement rides next to the Bay, join us for festivals in our plaza and stay the weekend. You can expect big fun, big thrills and create memories that last a lifetime!

Want to take a trip to the beach?  Galveston Island is only 30 minutes away from the Robotics Event Center.  It's a destination full of art, historic architecture, chic boutiques, ghost legends and more - all tucked within a quaint Gulf Coast barrier island.
