Información general

Join us for the Mercer County VIQC Blended Open Qualifier. This event is hosted by the Mercer County Blended Robotics League. Teams will compete in a fun, challenging and competitive tournament that is open to any elementary or middle school robotics team. Our event will feature three competition fields, multiple skills fields and more!  Participants may purchase tournament merch on the day of the event as well as concessions. This event is a qualifying event with teams having the opportunity to qualify for the West Virginia State Championship basedon the RECF advancement criteria. 

We are excited to showcase our area VRC teams in an exhibition display on the day of the event.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:45 a.m. - Driver's Meeting

9:00 a.m. - Qualification Matches, Judging Begins

12:00 p.m. - Lunch Break

1:00 p.m. - Qualfication Matches Resume

2:30 p.m. - Skills Fields Close

3:00 p.m. - VRC Exhibition Matches

3:30 p.m. - Finals Matches

4:30 p.m. - Closing & Awards

Skills Challenge Fields will be open during qualification matches, breaking or lunch and closing for the day at 2:30 p.m.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be issued in the event of a cancellation by the Event Partner.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

We are unable to process refunds for teams that register then choose not to attend. All registration fees are final. 

 

Webcast

The 2025 Mercer County Open VIQC Qualifier is being livestreamed through the support of Princeton Middle School's Tiger Today Broadcast Channel. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
